Cornhole Throws You Should Try

If you still don’t know which throw is the perfect for you yet, our list here will help you. Even if you do know, it will great if you try some of them. As everyone is trying to find which one works for them, if you don’t try them all, you might be missing out on your perfect throw. Now, let’s take a look and give it a try.

Throw #1: Basic Fold

This may be the most popular throw among cornhole players. You just flatten the bag and fill out. Then, fold the bag right in half with the even amount of fill in each half.

Throw #2: Double Fold

Hold the bag by one of its corner. Then, fold the corner without any fill over the corner holding all of the fill. Finally, fold the bag in half with the other two corners.

Throw #3: The Pancake

The bag is completely flattened. Then, it can be thrown underhand, while resting flat on your hand. The most popular way of throwing the pancake is by spinning it (just like a Frisbee) towards the hole. And yes, keep it as flat as possible.

Throw #4: The Sling

To do this throw, hold the bag by one of its corners with your index thumb and index finger. Then sling the bag to the hole, giving the bag backspin.

Throw #5: The Fling

The Fling is similar to The Sling. The difference is, you hold the bag by one edge rather than a corner. Then, you pitch the bag underhand. Again, giving the bag backspin.

Throw #6: The Overhead

Last but not least, the overhead. Don’t worry, it is the only overhead throw on our list. If you want, you can mix one of the above throws with this one. Typically, the bag is just held in a bald and is shot towards the hole. This may be the least consistent throw of them all. However, it does work for some people.
